Illuminating Personal Psyche

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Approach: Crafting Symbolic Narratives

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

Creative Process: From Concept to Creation

1. Thumbnails & Composition Planning

I began with various thumbnail sketches, planning the composition of each poster to ensure a harmonious blend of elements.

2. Value Studies & Line Art

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

This project reflects my authentic voice and passion for astrology and design. Illuminating Personal Psyche

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Approach: Crafting Symbolic Narratives

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

Creative Process: From Concept to Creation

1. Thumbnails & Composition Planning

I began with various thumbnail sketches, planning the composition of each poster to ensure a harmonious blend of elements.

2. Value Studies & Line Art

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

Conclusion: A Heartfelt Celebration

This project reflects my authentic voice and passion for astrology and design. Illuminating Personal Psyche

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Approach: Crafting Symbolic Narratives

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

Creative Process: From Concept to Creation

1. Thumbnails & Composition Planning

I began with various thumbnail sketches, planning the composition of each poster to ensure a harmonious blend of elements.

2. Value Studies & Line Art

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

Creative Process: From Concept to Creation

1. Thumbnails & Composition Planning

I began with various thumbnail sketches, planning the composition of each poster to ensure a harmonious blend of elements.

2. Value Studies & Line Art

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

This project reflects my authentic voice and passion for astrology and design. Through gilded borders, radiant linework, and striking portraiture, the Art Nouveau Zodiac series celebrates the archetypal essence within each of us, offering a heart-centered tribute to the stories that illuminate our personal psyche.

Illuminating Personal Psyche

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Approach: Crafting Symbolic Narratives

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Approach: Crafting Symbolic Narratives

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

Creative Process: From Concept to Creation

1. Thumbnails & Composition Planning

I began with various thumbnail sketches, planning the composition of each poster to ensure a harmonious blend of elements.

2. Value Studies & Line Art

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

Illuminating Personal Psyche

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Approach: Crafting Symbolic Narratives

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

Creative Process: From Concept to Creation

1. Thumbnails & Composition Planning

I began with various thumbnail sketches, planning the composition of each poster to ensure a harmonious blend of elements.

2. Value Studies & Line Art

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

Conclusion: A Heartfelt Celebration

This project reflects my authentic voice and passion for astrology and design. Through gilded borders, radiant linework, and striking portraiture, the Art Nouveau Zodiac series celebrates the archetypal essence within each of us, offering a heart-centered tribute to the stories that illuminate our personal psyche.

Illuminating Personal Psyche

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series is a captivating exploration of astrology, archetypes, and symbolism. This illustrative design series, initially a personal passion project, evolved into a compelling illustrative design project, blending vibrant colors with the timeless elegance of Art Nouveau. The objective was to create a series of posters and postcards that celebrate the zodiac's intrinsic stories and illuminate our personal psyche.

Approach: Crafting Symbolic Narratives

Research & Inspiration

To create a deeply resonant series, I immersed myself in the rich symbolism of each zodiac sign, exploring their associated colors, symbols, flowers, metals, and archetypes. Drawing inspiration from sketching florals at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the psychedelic concert posters of the ‘60s, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of each sign through intricate motifs and botanical symbolism.

Creative Process: From Concept to Creation

1. Thumbnails & Composition Planning

I began with various thumbnail sketches, planning the composition of each poster to ensure a harmonious blend of elements.

2. Value Studies & Line Art

After determining the scale of light and dark through value studies, I selected the most captivating thumbnails and developed detailed line art, focusing on precision and clarity.

3. Color Studies & Painting

Experimenting with color combinations and harmonies, I brought each design to life using gouache, watercolor, and ink; my favorite part of the process because I felt in the flow.

4. Digital Refinement

High-resolution scans of each painting allowed me to refine the designs digitally in Adobe Photoshop, ensuring vibrant reproduction and eliminating imperfections.

Results: A Resounding Success

The Art Nouveau Zodiac series was showcased at an exhibition at the Philip J. Steele Gallery, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where I successfully distributed over 1000 postcards. The series received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and visual impact, sparking meaningful conversations and connections among audiences.

Conclusion: A Heartfelt Celebration

This project reflects my authentic voice and passion for astrology and design. Through gilded borders, radiant linework, and striking portraiture, the Art Nouveau Zodiac series celebrates the archetypal essence within each of us, offering a heart-centered tribute to the stories that illuminate our personal psyche.
