You feel the call of your inner siren rising from the raging sea: a defiant anthem, untamed and unyielding. This is the spirit that we infused into every stroke and lyric of the workshop series identity.
Making Waves’ Therapeutic Community Songwriting Workshops (and the showcase in the fall) unite souls across Northwest Florida, transforming pain, grief, and trauma in harrowing times into creative power.
They needed a visual identity as raw and cathartic as their sessions: a design that holds space for both individual healing and collective celebration.
The Alchemical Approach
Symbolic Muse
A siren emerges, her wild hair and her voice reverberating across the ocean, echoing vulnerability and revolt.
Color Medicine
Inspired by their original brand colors and the summertime favorite hobby of cyanotype photography, deep ocean blues and vibrant cyans capture water’s healing flow and emotional depth.
Textural Ritual
Watercolor and ink textures mimic sound waves, while handwritten lyrics in the background bring the raw testimonial quality of songwriting.
’70s Aesthetic Touch
Vintage flourishes, a modern take on the psychedelic Art Nouveau aesthetic, and grainy overlays nod to retro concert posters, grounding the design in nostalgia and authenticity.
